Cushing’s Hub eLearning Modules are accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) to provide CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME® accreditation will be available until 11 October 2023.
This CME activity will lead to the award of one EACCME® accreditation point or American Medical Association (AMA) equivalent. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities. Note that each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
To claim your EACCME® accreditation point (or AMA equivalent) you must complete all three eLearning Modules and a short questionnaire.
The eLearning Modules – which each take about 20 minutes to complete – are presented in a practical case-based format supported by pre- and post-assessment multiple-choice questions. Topics include:
This module raises questions about who should be screened for Cushing’s syndrome and considers the most suitable diagnostic tests for the avoidance of diagnostic uncertainty.
This module looks at the optimal way to manage hypercortisolism with associated comorbidities, particularly in patients who are ineligible for surgery.
This module looks at the diagnostic strategy required to establish the cause of adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH)-dependent Cushing’s syndrome, when imaging and biochemical results are inconclusive.
The Cushing’s Hub eLearning Modules, made available until 11 October 2023 on https://cushingshub.com/accredited-content/ and organized by Springer Healthcare, are accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) to provide CME activity for medical specialists.
Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME® is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Only those e-learning materials that are displayed on the UEMS/EACCME® website have formally been accredited.
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.
